    Where do you start? How do we begin? What is required to start building your own living space?


    Building your own home is an exciting time. The opportunity to plan out and create your dream living space is no doubt one of life’s greatest and most challenging moments.


    Nino Projects have services that extend beyond just building new homes. We can assist with removing your old home, put you in contact with the right people and even design around your existing structure.


    Seeing is believing when it comes to choosing a builder. Look at the quality of the product, talk to past clients and inspect past projects. Get the full picture. Don’t rely on fancy brochures and great offers alone.


    What is the process, and what is required by us, to get the ball rollingĀ? How do get your project from construction to completed?

    First Meeting

    The first step is for you to meet with Anthony ‘Nino’ Velthuis, the builder to discuss goals, wish lists and budget. You may also provide any plans you already have. While fairly informal, this meeting will need to discuss with you:

    • Design
    • Regulations
    • Previous building history
    • Costs of production
    • Special requirements
    • Meeting Schedules.
    • Budget

    From there Nino Projects can give an obligation free quote from the plans provided. Now is the time to ask those niggling questions.


    Remember! This is also your first opportunity to ask us questions. Relationships begin when people learn from each other. They grow when we listen. They flourish when we understand.


    If you do not have a set of plans, Nino Projects will work closely with you and the designer to develop a set of preliminary sketches that suite your needs. Once you are happy with the sketches our designer will complete a set of plans with a 3 dimensional view for you to check. Changes can be made at this stage before being returned to the designer who will complete the final set of working drawings.


    Before applications can be made, all soil tests, footing designs and engineering evaluations must be completed. We will submit your design, along with any required documentation, on your behalf to council and any required authorities for the necessary approvals. For multi level units and apartments we also liase with and understand the complexities of Body Corporates- and their obligationss and requirements.






    Meet your Supervisor.


    Before we start construction it’s time to meet your building supervisor. It’s important that while your home is under construction that you have a contact on-site to talk to. You have direct access to those responsible for nurturing your project to completion.


    If some urgent last minute changes need to be made then you have a contact who can help. Or if your just after an update…Just make a call.

    How long will it take? Well that depends. We will however, do our best to have you relaxing in your favourite chair in your new home as soon as possible.


    Our team will work closely with you throughout the whole building process to ensure that you are satisfied. Some clients like to choose their own fixtures & fittings including tiles, kitchen appliances, tap ware, vanities, basins etc, other clients may simply prefer to sign a contract and move in when complete leaving all aspects to the builder.


    At the completion of a build, the house is professionally cleaned inside and out so all that is left is for you, the owner to move in and enjoy. On hand-over day, Nino and the Building Supervisor will personally walk through your new home with you, proudly showing you all the stunning features of your new home.
